The sound dictionaries for the Sara Languages allow users to page through the lexical data, viewing words, sentences and idioms from the web, listening to the information as spoken by native speakers. There are currently sound dictionaries for 13 of the Sara languages, and for 2 Sara Kaba languages, and one Bagirmi lanugage. A comparative view of words of the Sara Languages is also included.

In order for the language data to display correctly, it is necessary to have installed the DoulosSIL font, which can be legally downloaded from the SIL website. Click here to to download DoulosSIL font, then install it in your font directory.

The sound dictionaries have been successfully tested only with Google Chrome, Microsft Internet Explorer 8, and with the Mac browser. Java Script must be enabled to listen to recordings from play button. With Mozilla FireFox the sound files do not play. Photo display issues also occur with some versions of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
